Untergrund4Life – sewer renovation blog
In the next two blogs we return to the subject of the skills shortage and I do my bit to make the industry more attractive and outline some of the prospects and opportunities on offer.
As you no doubt will have noticed, we are facing a dire shortage of skills. Market players of all magnitudes and sectors are in desperate search of new personnel – with job descriptions ranging from trades through to commercial posts, and all qualification levels.
Naturally I will concentrate primarily on the wastewater sector in my blog pieces…
Well paid, 100% future-focused and crisis-proof, the sector that deals with maintaining our sewage systems offers a genuine opportunity to do something for society and to actively contribute to the protection of the environment.
After all, as shown in the video below and the associated website, water = life.
Something genuinely cool set up by some associations from our industry.
While the website has been online since the end of last year, I still think it’s worth sharing again and again.
Make sure you have a look in any case. There’s another in-depth description of some jobs further down the page too.
The rap video was shot in a sewer in Hamburg by the way:
Feel free to use the blog pieces and examples for your own websites or marketing campaigns for attracting staff too.
Then in my blog entry in two weeks I will give you another rundown of opportunities in the sewage sector – so watch this space.
Until next time,
Jonas
