Our company

Three generations of tradition and progress in pipeline renovation. From innovative product development to worldwide delivery – we combine experience with the latest technology while offering industry partnership you can rely on.

Embracing values is well worth it – after all, trust is good for business

1967

Herbert Bodenbender started his own business (us) in the Hessian Hinterland, taking on considerable debt and buying a pump truck to do so.

1971

His eldest son, Herbert Junior, took on the company along with all of the debt after his father’s accidental death – not to mention responsibility for his nine siblings and his mother, despite the fact that he wasn’t even of full age according to the law at the time.

1974

Courage and energy pay off: the company is debt-free and his younger brother Heinz Bodenbender was able to join the company, too. Over the subsequent years the family company continued to grow and started to inspect sewers with the first TV truck at the end of the 1980s.

1991

“I see the defects in the pipes, I can repair them myself too,” thought Herbert Bodenbender. And so, in 1991, the company started developing and testing its own resins. Together with the chemists at Bayer AG it developed resins specifically for sewer renovation. The successful use of the renovation material led to the development of a completely standalone system for pipeline and sewer renovation: the PL® Point Liner® system – used by the company in its own service operations.

1994

The PL® Point Liner® system from newly founded Bodenbender GmbH is launched on the market and global distribution begins. The training business is launched at the same time. This is followed by the PL® Inliner system – also featuring in-house resin developed based on our experience: Combi Tec® EP.

Both systems are accredited by the German Institute for Construction Technology (DIBt).

2012

By 2012, Bodenbender had grown to 30 employees and has been acting as a service provider, product developer and supplier for other sewer renovators since 1991. Finally the decision is made at Bodenbender to stop competing with its own customers and the service business ceases to operate.
